Vino Italian Tapas and Wine Bar

Vino Italian Tapas and Wine Bar is one of my favorite restaurants on the island.  They have an amazing Happy Hour deal, and overall the food and service are both excellent.

During a recent visit, we got to try out some of the new menu items inspired by Chef Keith Endo's recent trip to Italy.

Bolognese

Carbonara

Pesto

Grilled Spanish Octopus

Linguine Con Vongole

Bristol Bay Scallops

My friends absolutely loved the scallops, and they also commented how perfectly cooked the octopus was.  My faves were the pesto pasta (I LOVE pesto), and the carbonara.  The bolognese had a nice kick to it, and the Linguine Con Vongole, made with just Manila clams, parsley, garlic & extra virgin olive oil, was one of the highlighted new menu items.

We declined dessert because we were so full, but our server knew there was always room for dessert, especially Vino's Warm Apple Tart, the restaurant's signature dessert.
