Escrit, Inc. to Unveil Hawaii Kai Marina Chapel

One of the largest destination wedding company in Japan, Escrit Inc. will officially introduce its Hawaii subsidiary Escrit Hawaii, which opened in 2015, while unveiling its first exclusive chapel, the Hawaii Kai Marina Chapel. This will be the company’s first foray outside of Japan. Situated overlooking the marina in the heart of Hawaii Kai, the new chapel boasts magnificent views of Oahu’s eastern coast and will be an ideal location for wedding and vow renewals, being just 30 minutes away from Waikiki.

The 1,747-square-foot chapel is perfect for more intimate weddings, for up to 24 seated guests. A garden area facing the ocean will provide an outdoor venue option, complete with add-ons to include an ‘ukulele player with chorus. Wedding planning services will span the entire gamut to include invitations, officiants, flowers, photography, gown and tuxedo rentals, transportation, as well as coordination of locations for receptions. Catering services are planned for a later launch and may include vendors such as WDI Restaurants (known for its fine restaurants such as Taormina, Appetito, and TR Fire Grill), Chef Chai, StripSteak Waikiki, and other esteemed restaurants.

“We are thrilled to make Hawaii the first destination for a wedding chapel outside of Japan,” says Morihiro Shibutani, president of Escrit Inc. “Japanese have a deep love of Hawaii, and with over 200,000 Japanese visitors going to the Aloha State for weddings and honeymoons, we felt this is one destination we must consider adding to our portfolio of wedding venues.”
Escrit Hawaii’s Hawaii Kai Marina Chapel is located at 377 Keahole Street. It will be open Sunday to Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with reservations only. For more information about Escrit Hawaii’s offerings, please call (808) 376-8417 or visit the website at www.hawaiikai-marinachapel.com.
