The Buffet at Hyatt Announces Seasonal Christmas and New Year's Eve Menus

Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa’s Executive Chef and Director of Culinary & Food and Beverage Operations Jeff Szombaty is proud to announce this year’s holiday offerings at The Buffet at Hyatt for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. The Christmas menu will be available on December 24th and 25th from 3:30pm – 9:30pm, with pricing for kama’aina at $75/person ($89 for visitors) and $35 for children aged 6-12. Ringing in 2019, the New Year’s Eve menu will be available on December 31st for two seatings at 4pm & 4:30pm, priced at $60/person.

Following its February opening, The Buffet at Hyatt has earned a reputation for its local produce and incredible buffet lineup, and the offerings for these celebrations live up to the hype. From the carving table offering slow roasted prime rib, roasted free range turkey, and honey ham to the seafood station featuring southern king crab and Alaskan snow crab, Pacific Northwest oysters on the half shell, local-style poke, and citrus poached Kauai shrimp to the stove top with crispy pork belly, roast leg of lamb, ginger opah, and more, this family-friendly Christmas feast has a special dish for every palate. There will even be a keiki station, complete with kid-friendly options as mac and cheese and chicken strips. Last, but not least, is an impressive dessert spread that features a hot cocoa station, interactive soft-serve experience, and an array of housemade desserts including pecan and pumpkin pies, cranberry lemon brûlée, gingersnap bread pudding, blackberry basil panna cotta, and a Christmas black forest yule log.

The Buffet at Hyatt’s first ever New Year’s Eve menu includes a variety of starters such as garlic citrus seafood salad, butternut squash bisque, and Thai green papaya salad to complement the plated entrees, including Maine lobster ravioli, roasted Cornish game hen, Kunoa beef tenderloin, and saffron risotto. For dessert, guests can choose from a selection of fresh island fruits, housemade cookies, and decadent desserts, such as chocolate pomegranate bark, apple spice cinnamon sugar pound cake bites, strawberry champagne cheesecake trifle, and chocolate tuxedo cups.

The restaurant is located on the third floor of the Diamond Head Tower in Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa at 2424 Kalakaua Avenue. Valet and self-parking are complimentary, and reservations may be made by calling (808) 923-1234 or booking through OpenTable.com.
