Food Company Cafe

I recently dined at the Food Company Cafe - a restaurant that my friend Sean constantly raves about.

First things first - do not get the Food Company Cafe mixed up with it's neighbor, The Food Company Restaurant.

Both eateries fall under the same parent company, but the Food Company Restaurant serves local-style plate lunch fare, whereas the Food Company Cafe is where Chef Jason Kiyota creates exquisite dishes using local and high-quality ingredients for dinner.

Lobster Bisque

North Shore Prawns with Garlic Cognac Butter
Raw Beet & Fuji Apple Salad

Kona Abalone Escargot Style
Roasted Brussels

Crab Curry Pasta

Cider Brined Shinsato Farms Rack of Pork

Langoustine and Wild Mushroom Risotto

Lavender Scented Duck Breast
Chef treated us to a variety of dishes to start with, and my faves included the Prawns served with a Cognac Garlic Butter that was just divine, as well as Kona Abalone, served Escargot-style, and the Roasted Brussels (a special of the evening).

Even though I was already quite full from all of the starters, I ate my entire dish of Langoustine and Wild Mushroom Risotto.  Kahuku corn gave it a nice texture, and it was very well-balanced.  So delicious!

And yes, by the time I ate my entire entree, I was stuffed, but there's always room for dessert!
Flourless Chocolate Cake

Peach Cobbler
I loved the Flourless Chocolate Cake!  It was so decadent!

It was a lovely dinner, and I'm already eager to go back!
