Special Events at Halekulani in July

Celebrate Kama’aina Tuesdays at House Without A Key
Halekulani celebrates our Kama’ainas (locals) by offering Hawaiian entertainment by the Eric Lee Duo every Tuesday from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. When Kama’ainas present their local ID, a 20% discount will be applied to the total check. (The local resident is allowed to bring two non-residents to lunch). May we suggest some of our local specialties such as our new Calabash Curry (Halekulani’s version of the Spam Curry) with an Aloha Blond Draft Beer, crafted right here in Honolulu...Enjoy the flavors of a light, crisp malt backbone and a delicate hop finish. Infinitely refreshing. On the first and third Tuesday of each month, Kama’aina lunch guests are welcomed to join the complimentary Historical Halekulani tour at 1:30 pm. For more information and reservations, please contact our dining reservations department at (808) 923-2311.

Joy of Sake at the Hawaii Convention Center – Friday, July 27
Hawaii has a love affair with Sake – from the early days of the Japanese immigration and the founding of the Honolulu Sake Brewery to the present. Honolulu hosts an annual US National Sake Appraisal and has more sake-serving restaurants per capital than any other city in the country. This year’s event will feature over 20 local restaurants including Halekulani’s Banquet and Special Events Chef, Shaden Sato, as he prepares a Santa Barbara Scallop Crudo and Pepeiao (Wood Ear Mushroom) Tartare with Ponzu Caviar Pearls and Puffed Rice, that will complement a wide selection of sakes on offer. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit www.joyofsake.com/honolulu.html.

Hadley Nunes Exhibit in the Halekulani Galler
Halekulani is pleased to present local artist Hadley Nunes’ “Flowering in Conversation” in our Halekulani Gallery. Exclusively created for our gallery, Ms. Nunes’ artwork reflects the concept theme of colors creating rhythm through the collective hands that arrange and flower, a world of painting based on relationships. Ms. Nunes exhibits internationally and her works are part of the Louis-Dreyfus Family Collection in Katonah, New York. In addition, she has exhibited locally at Aupuni Space, Cedar Street Gallery, Honolulu Museum of Art, and Pegge Hopper Gallery.
