Hi Fit Expo April 7 and 8

The Hi Fit Expo - Hawaii's Premier Fitness, Sports, and Healthy Lifestyle showcase makes a return to the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall on Saturday April 7 and Sunday April 8. In it's 4th year, The Hi Fit Expo celebrates everything fitness thru a two day family friendly trade show and expo incorporating competitions, interactive exercise areas, celebrity guest appearances, healthy food demos, as well as fitness and health exhibitors.

The Hi Fit Expo exhibition floor will feature a host of fitness related competitions including Team Mana's USPA Power-lifting (All-Weekend), The $1000 Strongman Competition (Saturday) , Polynesian Natural Muscle Mayhem competition (Saturday), Top Roll Arm-wrestling (Sunday), UFC Gym open workouts, and a host of other sessions spread out through the weekend.

Making an appearance this year's expo is “Fit Mom” Maria Kang. Maria Kang is a mother of 3 sons, a wife to a former Marine, a business owner of elderly residential care homes and a nonprofit founder, Fitness without Borders. Despite growing up on McDonalds, sugary cereals and frozen dinners, she developed a passion for fitness and nutrition when she witnessed her mother struggle with health-related diseases. Maria started teaching aerobics classes in high school and became a part-time personal trainer while attending the University of California, Davis, where she received two majors in International Relations and Asian History and a minor in Political Science in 2002.

“The Hi Fit Expo's mission is to bring all of the elements of fitness together under one roof for everyone to enjoy. From the fitness fanatics to the beginner, all will have a chance to see popular fitness and health brands while getting hands on with a variety of fitness methods. You can jump into the live group workouts, try our fitness challenges or speak one on one with a fitness expert. We have worked really hard to pack as much action as we can into this event,” said associate event organizer, sports, health and fitness expert Kyle Paredes.
