Mix Plate Media Releases Mobile Food App for Picky Eaters

With the New Year brings new resolutions of eating healthy and changing habits to accomplish a cleaner lifestyle. Local design and digital agency Mix Plate Media is launching a new mobile app aimed to complement any clean eating journey commencing in the new year.

On Jan. 10th, the Picky Eaters mobile app was released in public beta for iOS for iPhone users in its initial launch phase. A release date for Android’s public beta will be announced shortly after. The app is free and is designed to help people with dietary or lifestyle needs help find their next meal while out and about. A “picky eater” qualifies as anyone with a busy and sociable schedule who finds it difficult to navigate Honolulu’s culinary scene with food allergies or special dietary needs.

“Our team is a group of picky eaters who eat out a lot,” says Andy Arakaki, founder of Mix Plate Media. “Picky Eaters is really a passion project for us and with this first release of the app, we’re excited for everyone to experience it and for more features yet to come.”

The Picky Eater app is 100% populated by fellow picky eaters. Users can feel confident that the food they find on the app has been vetted by a community of people with similar journeys. The Picky Blog will also be made live soon and users can eventually read more about diet challenges, dish reviews and recipes to cook at home. The mobile app has plans to expand to other major cities in the U.S. To download the Picky app for free on iPhones visit https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/picky-eaters/id1271620019.
