J’s BBQ and Grill Now Open at SALT at Our Kaka`ako

J’s BBQ and Grill is now open at SALT at Our Kakaʻako. The longtime family business has returned to Our Kakaʻako, with its signature Korean dishes and original family recipes.

Now located at SALT at Our Kakaʻako on Auahi Street, J’s BBQ and Grill is just a few blocks away from its original location, which opened in 1987. Owner So Pak and his family are looking forward to serving up food loved by generations of locals.

“My father feels very at home in Kakaʻako because he knows everyone and everyone knows him. We’re so happy to be back in Kakaʻako to serve our loyal fans and to continue the legacy of J’s BBQ and Grill,” said Heejin Uchimura, Pak’s daughter.

Not only have favorite dishes returned, but also the quality and speedy service that Pak and his family are known for. Pak values his customers’ time and strives to serve delicious meals as quickly as possible. This includes signature dishes, like mouthwatering meat jun, barbecue chicken and man doo kook soo.

An expanded weekend breakfast menu will include speciality pancakes, waffles and more. In the coming months, J’s BBQ and Grill also plans a delivery service, within Kaka‘ako.

“We are excited that J’s BBQ and Grill is back in Kaka‘ako. They have been sorely missed. This family business has brought joy to so many people over the years and we are happy to have them here at SALT at Our Kakaʻako,” said Jimmy Ventura, General Manager of SALT at Our Kakaʻako.

J’s BBQ and Grill is located at 691 Auahi St., Unit 2-114, on the ground level of SALT at Our Kakaʻako. Hours are Monday to Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call (808) 537-1117.

J’s BBQ and Grill adds to the growing dining and retail options at SALT at Our Kaka‘ako.
