Visit New York: Yankee Stadium

On our first night in New York, we made a last-minute decision to watch a New York Yankees game.

The Boston Red Sox were in town for a #battleinthebronx.  We scored $18 tickets (second to the last row from the very top!), and caught the subway to the stadium.

When we arrived, there was a super long line to get into the stadium at one of the entrances, but we were directed to a different entrance (closer to our seats) that was fortunately very short.

We went through a security check, and after walking up several ramps to get to our seats with several more ramps still to go, I decided to look for an elevator.

We finally made our way to the top, and was excited for the game to start!

We really had a blast, and it was fun to see how crazy everyone would get when the Yankees scored or someone hit a homer (we were told by a local to stay away from the bleacher seats if you have kids - words being yelled are not suitable for young ears).

Of course no visit to a baseball game is complete without some ballpark food!

I must say - every single Yankee Stadium employee we encountered was just so friendly and helpful. The security, the ushers, the concession stand workers - everyone!  I was quite impressed with just how courteous and professional the staff was, especially when dealing with such a large number of people.

It was a great first MLB game for the kiddos!
