AGU A Ramen Bistro - Waikiki Launches Lunch Teishoku

AGU A Ramen Bistro in Waikiki recently launched a lunch teishoku as an affordable meal option for those who live or work in the area.  For just $15 plus tax and tip, patrons may customize their meals by selecting among three different appetizers and among six different main dishes.  The special lunch teishoku will be offered seven days a week, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The lunch teishoku will include:

Appetizer (choose one from the following):
*Agedashi tofu (four pieces of deep fried bean curd dressed with a soy-based sauce)
*Gyoza (three dumplings filled with a savory blend of pork and cabbage)
*AGUcini (two panko-crusted balls made from rice sautéed with tonkotsu broth, garlic, char siu, and parmesan cheese)

Main dish (choose one from the following):
*Jidori Shio Ramen (chicken-based broth flavored with salt)
*Jidori Shoyu Ramen (chicken-based broth with bonito soy sauce)
*Tonkotsu Shio Ramen (pork bone-based broth with Hawaiian sea salt & konbu)
*Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen (pork bone-based broth infused with bonito and soy sauce)
*Vegetable Ramen (vegetable-based broth with vegan-friendly toppings)
*Pork Curry (rich pork-based Japanese curry topped with pork)

All lunch teishoku come with a cabbage salad drizzled with a sesame soy dressing, garlic edamame (soy beans), and rice.
“We understand that affordable lunches are important for those live and work in Waikiki, so we decided to offer set meals with good portions at fixed prices,” says Hisashi “Teddy” Uehara, owner and executive chef.  “This will also be quite attractive to the visitors in Waikiki.”
